Guidelines for Rechecking and Reappearing in SSC Exams After Result Announcement
The Punjab Boards announced the SSC Part II results on August 31, 2022. Students affiliated with boards such as BISE Lahore, BISE Gujranwala, BISE Multan, BISE DG Khan, BISE Rawalpindi, BISE Faisalabad, BISE Sahiwal, BISE Sargodha, and BISE Bahawalpur can now check their results. Following the announcement, students may apply for rechecking if they are dissatisfied with their marks or need to reappear in exams for any failed subjects. The Punjab educational boards are committed to supporting students before and after the result announcement.
Rechecking of Papers To apply for rechecking, follow these steps:
1. File the application form with the respective board authorities.
2. Applications must be submitted within 15 days of the result announcement.
3. Submit your form according to the issued schedule. Late or incomplete applications will be rejected.
4. Will be informed about any corrections in marks within seven days of rechecking.
5. Does not guarantee an increase in marks. Ensure you follow all instructions to avoid any inconvenience.
Reasons for Rechecking Papers
Students may request a recheck for the following reasons: –
1. To verify that the marks on the result card match those on the written paper.
2. To check if any question was left unmarked.
Improving Marks
Students who fail any subject or wish to improve their grades have four opportunities to retake exams within three years of passing. During this period, students cannot pursue higher education. Students may choose to retake exams either for specific subjects or the entire SSC exam. Once improved, the result cannot be retaken again. For those aiming to raise grades from E or D to C, they have four chances to achieve this. If two years have passed since passing the SSC exam, an affidavit stating no higher qualification must be provided. The result sheet and certificate will reflect the number of attempts. Candidates who appeared in the SSC exam from 2020 onward and have not yet improved their results can avail themselves of these chances. Those with overall grades of E or D may also use these opportunities.
